Abraham Gomes Da Costa had a brother, Isaac Gomes Da Costa. They both underwent adult circumcisions at Bevis Marks Synagogue in London on the same day, 13 August 1727 as Vindos de Portugal. The brothers also remarried their respective wives, Abigail and Ribca on the same day, 15 May 1728.It looks like Isaac's wife Ribca died a short time later, on 26 November 1729 and was buried on 28 Nov in the Velho (Old) Cemetery of Bevis Marks in Mile End.The burial register also has an entry for "Abigail Hija (daughter) of Ishac de Costa" on 18 November 1729.We don't know when Abigail was born, but it looks like the child may have died shortly after birth and that Ribca also died 10 days later. Or perhaps they both died of the same infectious disease. Either way, very sad. Isaac himself died in 1738 and was buried in the Novo Cemetery.
