Looking at trees set up by family members I came across the name Birnbaum which in Portuguese is Pereira meaning Peartree was this name popular among fleeing Jews upon arrival to Amsterdam or Hamburg? So far I am getting Jewish results on all DNA Platforms but am having difficulty tracing it back. On Gedmatch my primary shared population is Spanish from Murcia and Estremadura aswell as Portugal and Andalucia but my entire secondary shared population is coming up Jewish. So far I have been receiving help from some gracious posters on this group and other groups any recommendations are well appreciated. Many regards Filipe Pereira
