Dear friends and relatives. In February I launched this group and here we are 8 months later with close to a 1000 members.75 years ago, our people who were left in Rhodes were brutally murdered. Yet our community is still alive and striving in all the corners of the world. By sharing our pictures and family stories on this page, we are contributing in keeping alive the memory of our lost ones. The French author Jean D’Ormesson (1925-2017) from the “Académie Française” wrote: There is something stronger than death, it is the presence of the departed in the memory of the living. This site has shown how strongly we are attached to our « Isola Delle Rose », our culture and our history. It has also demonstrated how somehow, we all have family ties. In fact, people in Rhodes used to refer to each other as “El Hermano or La Hermana”.I would like to thank you for contributing to this site and encourage you to invite you friends and relatives to join and to keep it active and alive. I also want to thank Victor Alkana for his Genealogical input.Anyada Buena, Dulce y Alegre con la Salud.
