My name is Zeev Abigador, and together with my brother Ruben, we are trying to get information on my paternal grandparents and beyond. My father, David Abigador was born in Argentina in 1928, his Mother, Esther Codron from Rhodes, and his father Isaac Abigador arrived in Buenos Aires from Aleppo, via Egypt in the early 1900 with one brother, Rahamim Ramon Abigador.. Their parents were Ezra Abigador and Rosa Cohen. While in Egypt my grandparents had heir first born Lazaro Abigador in Port Said.We don’t have birth dates for my grandparents or any dates from my great grand parents. It seems that the original surname was Avigdor, and there are several versions like Abigdor and Abigadol.According to family lore (aunts that passed away a long time ago) the surname may have been Bistre o Mistre. We don't have any proof to substantiate this claim except for a meeting in Israel with a gentleman from Aleppo that mention that the name Abigador was once Mistre or Bistre. My quest is to find information about more brothers or sisters for Isaac and Rahamim Abigador.Information about Ezra Abigador and Rosa Cohen. The Avigdor or Bistre/Mistre debacle. We tested my father’s DNA through FTDNA, Y 37 DNA and Family Finder DNA, but so far no help with our quest..
