Good morning! Bom dia! Boker tov 🪬Shabbat shalom to all 💐I woke up to the rain, more of a drizzle, and while I am not a rain lover, it is definitely welcome. This summer, probably due to very wet half a year or more previously, was relatively fire free…until now.The fires are not in the hottest south of the country from where you can literally take a 3 hour ride in a ferry and be in Africa but in the north. They are artificially started for sure.So Mother Natures help in fighting this abomination is greatly appreciated.Another positive item came via news.As a lover of mysteries and spy novels, I can not help being in awe of a beeper and walkie talkie operation against hezboll@h.It’s right out of Daniel Siva novels!Must be a descendant of Portuguese Jews.Happy as today’s rain and success of targeted anti terror operation made me, there’s another item that probably didn’t make the news.Chief Rabbi of Ukraine just lost his oldest son who fought for his country and was visiting his middle son, whose arm was blown off in combat, at the hospital. There’s just so much pain!We also cannot forget 101 Jewish hostages and their families still in the clutches of ham ass.We cannot forget that Israel and Ukraine are both fighting for their right to exist. We cannot forget the dead and their families. We cannot forget IDF who daily struggle to achieve their goals of rescuing the hostages and destroying ham ass while minimizing civilian casualties and sacrificing their lives to appease international sensibilities. We cannot forget that all of this young people have families. And we cannot forget the hundred thousand plus displaced Israelis, who are internal refugees in their own country.Once again I am having hard time to cut but not to create! So here is a new painting “The wound is the place where the light enters you”Quote by Rami. Sunflower is like a burst of light against the blue of the sky or are they the stones of the Western Wall…so much history! so much pain! The Star of David bursting inside the tunnel is a memorial to the six souls who were murdered. I will never look at six points of the Star and not think of them. There can’t be any peace deal till the hostages are released.People can leave notes with their pleas in the Kotel and if you can see the heart shaped stones, they are my pleas, my prayers for the dead and for the suffering.May G-d be with you 🖖Shabbat shalom 🪬✡️🎗️
