Wallpapers from 18th century found in Portuguese SynagogueDuring work in the Portuguese Synagogue in Amsterdam, several 18th-century linen wallpapers were found. The wallpapers were lying in two hidden interspaces in the hechal, the large cabinet where the Torah scrolls are kept. It is not clear when these wallpapers were placed there.
