Hi all,Here is your opportunity to tell the Portuguese Government what you like about their archives, and what needs improvement. The questions are in Portuguese. It would be wonderful to have this survey in English as so many people from all over the world use these archives. Hope that the attachment is here!

Hi all,What is your opinion on this book? I decided to begin a new thread to continue some of the comments on Felix H. Alomar's post. In this book, Jon Entile states that when Jewish men travelled many times they married non Jewish women. If that is the case, how is Judaism determined by the mother?

Hi All, Here is another piece of work which involved Professor Anita Novinsky regarding the descendants of Branca Dias. I noticed many Arruda and Brandao lines. Very interesting as it dives into the Brazilian descendants including Native American, Muslim, Jewish, and New Christians. Hope it helps!

Good Evening All,Has anyone ever found baptism records of forced conversions? Council of Trent required baptism, marriage and death records starting in 1563. Many thanks! I have found one record that indicate that the person was an old christian, and one that actually said new christian.

It seems that there were families primarily from Lamego, Portugal that went to Italy in the 1500's; Fonseca, Paz, Lopez/s, Gomez/s, Salamanca, and Furtado and here are some published articles shining a light on these families.Hope that it helps some.https://www.academia.edu/7593130/The_Fonsecas_of_Lamego_betwixt_and_between_commerce_faith_suspicion_and_kinhttps://www.acad...
