Problem is I do not understand anything that I have found so far. I...
I must share this with you. This is a presentation made by Haïm Mazar. I found it on Google one day by searching for my Behar family. Coming from Yambol and Sliven, small jewish communities in Bulgaria, I suspect that we are all connec...
For those whose interest in their Sephardi heritage is more than just genealogical this will be welcome news. I post this for information, not for discussion if the admins would like to block comments.

(Boxes in the chart with a black outline around them come directly from Heinemann's original diagram.)If you have the knowledge, you can help improve this chart. The current version is 3.5.4.Just in regards to the Portuguese/Lisbon bran...
500 Years of Reformation leads to a lot of exhibitions. Here's one in France, which sheds light on the history of two minorities: the Jews and the Huguenots - bien étonné de se trouver ensemble. Antisemitism gets duly noted, but too much is made of a supposedly friendly attitude of Huguenots towards Jews, during a few centuries. Nevertheless, there are enough interesting items about the history of...

Thank you Miriam
