Is anyone going on this?

Sefardis tend to not know how to organize in an efficient way, just like the Iberians of today...It is indeed time to learn how to unite for a common purpose. I am also very keen in their cooking legacy...also jewllery and its significance,and music and poetry! because I do research on Iberian's Sefardi legacy to this day!

Possible projects for the foundation-Starting a publishing house. I have a long list of works by Western Sephardic Hakhamim that I would love to see published. It is an important part of our heritage. Of course it would also be wonderful if the publishing house could publish new books.-Recording of Hazzanuth. There are recordings of Hazzanuth from Amsterdam, London and New York, but what about all...

It would be great if we could find smeone with experience in creating a foundation. For this to work it needs to be an official and serious project, rather than just another interesting FB group. But this is a start.

Definition of estern Sephardic traditionI would say Western Sephardic communities are the communities of Sepharaddim in Western Europe (Italy, France, Belgium, Germany, Holland, UK) and those of the Americas.These communities have much in common and are distinct from - although related to - the Levantine and Maghrebi Sepharaddim.

לאביאל ויצמן ברוך אתה . אכן זכות כבירה היא לנו . אביאל ויצמן הוא בנו של שלמה בן משה ויזמאן מתאזנכת. רבי משה בן מסעוד ויזמאן היה רבה של תאזנכת . המוהל והשוחט של קהילת תאזנכת . שממנה יצאו ונפוצו בנים גדולים בתורה. אביו של רבי מסעוד וסבו של סבי רבי אברהם ויזמאן הראשון היו אחים .

בתמונה -משמאל מרים רעייתו של יעקב בן רבי אברהם ויזמאן ז''ל ממראכש. מרים אשת לפידות . בת למשפחת בנישתי שהיא משפחה מיוחסת ומכובדה. משפחת רבנים ודיינים שבניה לקחו חלק בהנהגת הקהילה בעיר מראכש בכל דור ודור.

היום הזכרה לרבי יצחק זצ'ל

מסמך מרתק שנכתב בשפה הצרפתית . את המסמך תירגם לעברית אהוד ויצמן . המסמך נכתב על ידי קצין צרפתי בשם - capitainc bontoux בשנת 1951 והוא מציין כי בתקופה זו חיו באזור טאלואין 1336יהודים .באזור זה שהה. ושם חי לפני כ - 550 שנה הקדוש בבא יהודה וראובן ויזמאן . בתיעוד זה נכתב על משפחות ויזמאן שהתגוררו באיריל נורו . אליה הגיעו מתאזנכת לפני כ - 500 שנה . בשנת 1936 המושל היהודי באיריל נורו היה הדו ויזמאן .
