Found a very beautiful reprint of a c.1695 Hagaddah from Amsterdam, with commentary of R' Y. Abarbanel. Publisher is Aryeh Banner LTD. There were several copies at the Moriah bookstore. Not sure where else it's available, but well worth 85 nis.

ציתי לאחל לכולנו "רק" שבת שלום!!!במקורותינו יש תרי"ג מצוות שהם 613 עם מחברים את ה- ת+ר+י+ג = בגימטריא ל- 613... בגופינו יש רמ"ח אברים ו- שס"ה גידים, שהם ביחד 613 עם מחברים את ה- ר+מ+ח+ש+ס+ה תמצאו שהם ביחד בגימטריא 613... נכון שזה, לדעתי, לא מיקרי.... זה ועוד "רק" על 4 מצוות מתוך 613 יש שכר מיידי, כלומר כבר בעולם הזה, ואילו לגבי האחרות נאמר במקורותינו שהקרן בעולם הזה, והשכר לעולם הבא!!! מהן המצוות ...

I challenge those of this distinguished group to come up with a 1-5 page essay on why the Sephardic heritage needs to be continued in countries other than Spain where they originated. My 3 sons (10,12,14) and my wife and I live in an area where the only Sephardic interests are Bucharian. I've tried telling my children how important their Sephardic heritage is, but not living in a Sephardic commu...

היי חברים. לא השתמענו מזמן אה!!! קמתי (עדיין במראקש. מחר לסופ"ש בקזבלנקה) וקיבלתי "הארה" דרך תגובה של חברתינו - המדריכה ענת לוי... יש מושג ביהדות שנקרא "אהבת חינם"... אז בואו חברים טובים נאמץ אותו כולנו, ולא נתייחס לעצמנו, ידידינו וחברינו דרך החור (שאבד) מן המטבע!!!בזמנו (שנות השישים או השבעים. אני לא זוכר במדוייק) קראתי על סקר שנערך בגרמניה, ובו עשו בדיקה לעובר אורח למי הם יתנו אסימון אחד ויחיד ש...

This is a picture of the arrival in Nieuw Amsterdam (NYC) of the french ship that brought the 23 Portuguese Jews from Recife, Brasil after the expulsion of the Dutch in 1654. Among them was Abraham Bueno de Mesquita the first jews buried in the first Jewish Cemitery in the nowadays New York.
