Are there enough people in the Talbiye area of Jerusalem, interested in doing tefilot for Rosh Hashana and Yom Kipur , maybe even Selijot once a week in Elul?

According to the site regarding the liturgy of Shaar Hashamayim, during the week, the Aqeda and the Qorbanoth are not read out loud. Does this mean that the going practice on weekdays is simply to read birkoth hashahar and then proceed directly to Hodu?

Soon the great library of Ets Haim will be back in its original place within the Portuguese Synagogue compound in Amsterdam and questions related can be easily answered, especially if we work towards the sustainable preservation and continuation for everyone of its content: This means as my former message that monies are needed

How much of a difference is there between the London and US S&P prayerbooks? I'm thinking of ordering the Fast Day prayerbook from the UK, since I can't get one here in the US, and don't know if it's worth getting the entire set of prayerbooks from the UK or not (I have all the prayerbooks sold by Shearith Israel).

Alright, with this kind of dialogues, people offending and people being offended, this will never work. I think the best thing to do is close this group and declare our tradition doomed.

So, back to the subject. Does anyone here have customs that are particular to your family rather than your community? For example, the melody for Qiddus can vary between members of the same community. Or the way you tie the tefillin on the hand.Try to post pictures or recordings if you can.

And in regard to Bore Ad Annah, I want to take a little survey. In the fifth verse, there is a disparaging reference to the Christian belief in the trinity. It was censored out when the kinah was published, but Shearith Israel and Mikveh Israel have restored the original text. Can any of you from other communities tell me what you do there?
