Question:Should I approach people in Esnoga who wear their taleth the Ashkenazi way, and tell them to either wear it acc. to Sephardic custom or leave?

When you write your name in Hebrew do you use traditional Sephardic or Modern Israeli transliteration?I see many Sephardic last names here in Israel transcribed in a weird non-traditional way.

What is still missing from the list is all the works from Italy (mostly Venice and Leghorn)I think I need to make a seperate list for them, will be a lot of work. Anybody want to help?

Alright, with this kind of dialogues, people offending and people being offended, this will never work. I think the best thing to do is close this group and declare our tradition doomed.

So, back to the subject. Does anyone here have customs that are particular to your family rather than your community?For example, the melody for Qiddus can vary between members of the same community. Or the way you tie the tefillin on the hand.Try to post pictures or recordings if you can.
