My husband.David Israel, the son of parents from Rhodes and Turkey is in need of a bone marrow match. If you are between 18-44 or know someone who is, you could save a life. All it takes is a swab and a specialized blood donation. Please post and share. Thank you SO much! https://www.facebook.com/btmrefusetolose/

The Portuguese Jews of Amsterdam kept meticulous track of their sepher tora's. Moses de Daniel Pinto asked in the month of Sivan in 1695 (1735) to be given the sepher tora that his grandfather Moses de Daniel Pinto had deposited with the Community. His sister Ester de Daniel Pinto consented in this. The sepher tora is then given to Moses de Daniel Pinto on condition that after his death, his sons ...

JODEN SAVANNE - JEWISH SAVANNAH - SURINAM This 17th century settlement on the Surinam River was created in large part by Sephardim from Brazil. There is a possibility that some of Itamaracá's Jewish Congregation moved here via Cayenne in 1645 when the Insurreção Pernambucana erupted.
